Thanks to JM (Jess, is that you?) for finding and posting Bob's poem!!!
Bob's my buddy and I really like his poems, but I'm not sure the one he sent is what I want for the wedding. (I mean what *Nicole* and I want, fo course!)
So, here's your chance! Write a wedding poem for us! You have until 8:30 tonite. I know that's not much time, but I'm planning an engagement party, and want to be able to let all of you vote on my favorites in time to announce a winner at the party.
So, post your poems here by 8:30PM tonite. I'll pick my favorites and make a poll. (Love that bog poll feature!) You can vote and the winner will get a special prize at the engagement party.
Pay attention to this part, though. You'll need to know where and when the party is, right? And you know how I like puzzles, right? ROTFL. You know what that means, I'm sure!

Sigh. No poets out there, huh? I guess we'll have to use Bob's poem at the wedding... if there is a wedding. See the post I just made and you'll know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteI got one. It's a haiku.
ReplyDeleteI love you Nicole
You set my heart on fire
Love me forever
Thanks, Anonymous. I didn't really think about a Haiku for the wedding. Don't you think it's too short to be a wedding poem? Anybody got anything else to offer? At least seeing the Haiku makes me think we might still get some poems from some of you. Remember that if you post a poem and we choose it for what I hope will still be a wedding, you'll get a prize at our engagement party. Nicole *says* she still wants to have a party. I guess it'll be an engagement party. Anyway, thanks for the Haiku. It'd be great to see some other options.
ReplyDeleteRoses are red, violets are blue.
ReplyDeleteBut I gave you a white one so you'd say "I Do!"
Nicole you are a goddess, my love most fair.
I love how you smell and curl your hair.
Please be my love, faithful and true,
So that we might be together, just me and you!
Susan, Thanks! I like the reference to the white rose I gave Nicole when I proposed! Do you know Nicole? Did you notice she has *beautiful* straight hair? There's a little wave to it at the bottom, but believe me--she doesn't curl her hair! Maybe there's a way to replace that line? Keep the poems coming. I want to find a good one! And remember that prize possibility!
